Hi My son is at Grade 5 Alto Sax level. When would he become good enough for the Youth Band

Your son would be very welcome to audition for the Big Band or for the Shropshire Youth Wind Orchestra if he’s interested in a larger ensemble at any time of the year.

Rehearsal times for the Big Band are 5.30 - 8.00 pm at Belvedere School, Shrewbury. The next scheduled rehearsal is on Friday Novermber 24th.

Parents should contact Jenny Couch for details of when to attend for a
rehearsal/audition - this can be done by leaving a message at 01743 874145 asking Jenny to contact you.

Grade 5 Sax would also be fine for the Shropshire Youth Wind Orchestra. Parents could contact Alan Atkin at the same telephone number for rehearsal details (Saturday mornings with free coach available from main routes from North and South Shropshire and Telford into Shrewsbury.
